Around us and through us data is produced and transmitted continuously. Every step we take our body triggers sensors, and a new data point is created. Our activity is transformed into bytes which are subsequently transmitted through the network and a data feat is initiated.

While walking along the street, devices we carry count the step, measure the elevation above 0 we are currently at, find the direction we are moving towards, measure our temperature, our blood oxygen level, our blood sugar level and at the same time receive data about the environment around us, about the temperature around us, the air quality we are subject to and so on. Our movement triggers feedbacks on servers placed on the other side of the earth and we receive information about the restaurants around us, a projection about the probability that it is going to rain within the next 10 minutes or we might trigger the heating system of our apartment to turn itself on, while we are entering the quarter of city, where our apartment is placed in.

Currently all this potential is applied in a way, that does not take into account the city as a medium. This work experimentally combines the proposals Electric Avenue and Lightscape of the project Widespread Quality and creates an integrated interactive way finding system, which aims at putting the urban data around us to a smart use. In this case artificial lightning interacts with public transportation systems and a system is created that, in scale of a city, gives feedback about the state of the system, which is effective inside the space of the street and from various distances.

Hurry up! The last bus is coming, and we have still 500 meters to cover.
