The Bovisa quarter of Milan becomes a laboratory for the verification of part of the Widespread project series. In this specific case the projects Lightscape and Electric Avenue are experimentally applied to the urban space of Bovisa. A series of prototypes of different sizes are developed and tested in a laboratory setting as well as applied to specific urban scenarios. The aim is to verify the potential of technologies such as LED lightning, wireless transmissions, microcontrollers and urban data harvesting for the development of integrated data driven interactive urban landscape systems.
